DBY & Insyderz

So, Kenny, Chuck and Ryan and I went to the Insyderz show that also had Designed By You playing.

The first band sucked. Don't even go there.

DBY was very good, but there wasnt enough people there to go nuts. I got another shirt cause I lost my other one, and I got their cd.

This 9 piece ska-punk band was next. They are called Beligerious and they're from Texas. They were our age and they had a manager and a friggen huge RV. So damn lucky. They were pretty good, from what I could tell anyways, the sound was messed up. There horn players didn't use mics, and they were so loud. It was impressive.

Some crappy band was after that.

Then the Insyderz. This was one of their last shows ever. It was a kind of a disappointment. Maybe their horn players felt the need to be as good as the high schoolers so they felt the need to not use mics. Well they did need mics. Cause they didnt use mics, and I couldnt hear them really. And what was with the horn players pretending to play guitar when they werent playing? Their lead singer had the whole Fred Durst look and moves going which made them about 122013 times better.

Oh yea, Royce Nunley was there (Blueprint 76, ex: Suicide Machines) I spotted him in a van shortly after we got there. Him and the bassplayer for BP76 were filling in some spots for the Insyderz. The bass player was talking to Royce from outside the car window and I came up and asked if they were from Blueprint 76. The bass player said yea. And Royce kinda turned away and ignored it. He didn't seem like he wanted to talk, so I didnt bug him. I talked to the bass player for a bit, he was pretty cool. I mentioned that I saw their cd release show like a year ago,and talked about the Mike Park show and how Blueprint is doing and what their plans are. Kenny said later on when Chuck, Ryan and him passed the van again he heard Royce lock the doors. Wow. I wonder what was his problem that night?

Anyways, all in all it was a pretty good show. Afterwards we got a couple hot and ready pizzas and hung out at Chuck's house. Now, I'm back here and typing this.

Tired. bed.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show somewhat.

I really don't know why Luke booked some of those bands. You can't really have a ska show and only have two bands ska and one band somewhat ska.

And there was no band between Beligerious & Insyderz. The line up was Red Lipstick Death (which did suck); Designed by You (though they were suppose to be thrid); FBS; Beligerous; Insyderz (who really wasn't that hyped up).

Gah, I messed up that comment.

Oh there wasnt a band between them? I must have switched FBS and Beligerous, even though I could've sworn there was a band between Beligerous and Insyderz.

I agree that more ska bands would have been nice though.
